Apply for the tarjeta sanitaria
Your regional health card assigns you a GP (médico de cabecera) and gets you into the public system.

Steps
- 1Take your registration certificate, NIE and social security number to the nearest health centre.
- 2Register at the mostrador de admisión and choose an available GP.
- 3Collect the provisional card and use it until the plastic one arrives by post.
- 4Download your region's health app to book appointments and prescriptions.
