The padrón (town-hall registration) proves you live at an address. Healthcare, schools and residency renewals all depend on it.

Steps
- 1Book a cita previa at your town hall for “Padrón / Alta”.
- 2Bring the rental contract in your name, or a signed authorisation from the owner.
- 3Complete the hoja padronal for everyone living at the address.
- 4Ask for the volante de empadronamiento on the spot — it is the document everyone else wants.
